(approximately 3 hours – includes roundtrip transportation to/from location) Description: The Temezcal ceremony, a traditional Mesoamerican sweat lodge ritual practiced for centuries, involves gathering in a small dome-shaped structure made from natural materials. Participants begin by setting intentions and offering prayers outside the Temezcal before entering to sit with heated stones inside enclosed structure. Experience is led by a temazcalero or shaman, during the experience there is deep meditation, purification and introspection. Participants may undergo physical detoxification and emotional releases before emerging renewed and spiritually connected. The ceremony concludes with a 15 minute massage and refreshing beverage to rehydrate. This experience is to celebrate gratitude and marks a transformative journey of connection to oneself and the natural world..
